Outside the city of Bethlehem, three shepherds witness a chorus of angels announcing the birth of the Christ Child and follow their command to go and visit the newborn king. Two children, Miriam and Reuben, witness the miraculous show and make a plan to secretly accompany their father in the hopes that they too, can see the new child. After an adventurous journey, they all arrive at the nativity scene when Miriam realizes she does not have gifts for the newborn king. Miriam begins to cry but soon the ground around her begins to stir and roses rise where her tears fell. She presents the Christmas rose to the infant Jesus in a chorus of Hallelujah.
